Donations In Lieu of Volunteer Hours posted 10-01-2006

School supplies for students' personal use do not qualify as donations to the school in lieu of volunteer hours. Checks, cash, and supply donations should be equivalent to four hours wages and should be for general classroom or entire school use. Thank you for supporting East Wake Academy and PAL.

Volunteer Hour Timecard
(Parents please make copies of this original: August through May)

Per the East Wake Academy (EWA) handbook and enrollment application, each family has the responsibility to assist the school a minimum of four hours per month. If the parent is unable to meet this responsibility he/she can donate their hourly wage once a month to help with classroom expenditures. The purpose of the volunteer hour timecard is to record the fulfillment of this responsibility. Please record your hours volunteered or donations in the space provided below. Return the completed timecard to your student’s homeroom (K-8) or first period (9-12) teacher. The teacher will sign the timecard and forward it to the PAL volunteer coordinator. The hours and donations will be entered into a database which will be made available to the EWA administration and school board.
